Exploring the alps

Today we went on an hour and a half hike in the snow. We went all the way from Fussen to the Neuschwanstein castle and the Hohenschwangau castle.

This was the first castle we went to called Neuschwanstein. We had hiked for about an hour and a half, and then headed up to this castle, that was up a hill. We took a thirty minute tour through the castle, which ended in a gift shop, where I got a stuffed swan. The swan is commonly found throughout the castle, mostly because the area had many swans.

This is the second castle called Hohenschwangau. We hiked down the other mountain, and then up this mountain side. We arrived just in time for the thirty minute tour, and headed through the castle. This castle also had many swans throughout it because of the populous amount of swans and the  many legends about swans.
