Another great day in Berlin started with a run along the river Spree followed by a visit to the Reichstag (German Parliament).

Architect Norman Foster did an amazing job of blending a modern touch with this historic building.  The dome is extremely impressive.  Laura finally made it to Berlin to join the rest of the clan!

A sad moment – taking some time to memorialize the innocent people that lost their lives to another senseless tragedy – this is the spot where the terrorist drove a truck into a German Christmas Market in Berlin on December 19th.

A unique memorial – from the street, you can peer down into a series of empty book shelves that commemorate the square where Nazis burned books in front of the university.
