Time to give our amazing German Language skills a rest as we transition from Heidelberg, Germany to Strasbourg, France. Yes there is no speed limit on parts of the A5, yes our Ford Galaxy can easily do 110 mph, yes there are some sweet German cars that blow past you when you are doing 100 mph, but there is also traffic in Germany, so we haven’t experienced the full effect of the Autobahn.
The cathedral and Christmas market in Strasbourg are fantastic.

We found Sam’s exchange student Leopold here in Strasbourg (or rather, he found us!). Teddy is here too! So fun to see Leopold’s home town.

What a warm welcome from Leopold’s family and friends – Sanja and Serg and Leopold and Theodor and Teddy and extended family and friends welcomed us with open arms and a delicious meal with highlights from Sanja’s Serbian cooking skills, champagne, and delicious French cakes.

The boys doing their best French rapper impression before they hit the Town.

Sanja and Serg have an amazing flat – this architect is super talented and their home has a destinctive flair. They sure have some brilliant and talented children as well – what a lovely family. They are off to South Africa tomorrow, so time to bid farewell.
