We made it to Heidelberg!!!!!! Today we drove from Frankfurt to Heidelberg and arrived at hotel vier jahreszeiten. We took a walk around the city and looked around at shops, and Christmas markets. After that we stopped by a Lebanese restaurant and ate dinner. We headed back home, and stopped by a cafe to get hot cocoa and coffee, it was lecker!!!
This was at one of the Christmas markets where we stopped to look at the pyramid (as we were told it was called.) I can’t take a good picture haha, sorry dad. ~Hana
Good post Hana! Can’t finish this big day without mentioning that Sam & Hana had the pleasure of attending the European School in Frankfurt today with Sofia, Ricky, and Julia. They were champs and made it through the day functioning on little sleep. What a cool experience – 22 different nationalities represented at the school with plenty of German, English, Italian, Spanish, and French being thrown around. Highlights included math, science, chemistry, Latin, English, German, and sports classes. Oh, and did I mention lunch? What an amazing experience – and very friendly students who made sure Sam & Hana felt welcomed. Even in another country, Sam still found a way to make friends who helped him to skip out of school and take a bus to the mall for lunch:

A highlight for Hana was meeting a lovely Dutch girl who joined her on the winning hockey team against the boys. Here are Sam & Hana being picked up from school:

Check out this awesome sausage cooker that Tracee encountered at the Frankfurt Christmas Market:
